Over the weekend, while everyone was glued to their TVs, laptops or to the new phenomenon called TFN (yeah we know, shameless self plugging eh?) getting their fix of ONE FC, DARE from Bangkok was creating some waves of their own by announcing 2 big signings to their million dollar tournament. While the ONE FC event was taking place, DARE announced the signings of Mark “Mugel” Striegl & Irshaad “White Tiger” Sayed.
Fight fans who follow Legend FC might know Mark Striegl as he’s been a regular fixture in the promotion. In fact Mark was a part of last weekend’s Legend FC 7 event and was victorious in his fight against Ev Ting. Mark fights out of Wajutsu Keishukai Gods gym, Tokyo Japan and is currently undefeated with 7 wins and no loses under his belt.
Like Striegl, Irshaad Sayed fought last weekend too but for a different promotion that was having it’s big ass event on the same day, that of course being, ONE FC. Sayed fought at the event’s preliminary card and defeated Jessie Rafols convincingly via TKO in the first round. Sayed fights out of Hong Kong and trains with another big name in Asian MMA, Vuyisile Colossa. He is currently holding a 3-1 MMA record which includes a win over Thailand’s MMA standout, Ngoo Ditty.
Whether the 2 will be fighting at next month’s DARE 2/12 event is not yet known but one thing’s for sure, both are very good signings and will definitely make an impact on DARE’s Million Dollar Tournament.
