According to the Facebook page of MMA-in-Asia, 2 new matches have been added to the ONE FC: Rise to Power card that will go down in the Philippines next month.
Current ONE FC: Featherweight Champion, Honorio Banario will be defending his title against Koji Oishi in the main event. This will be the first title defense for Banario who captured it by beating Muayfit’s Eric Kelly back in February in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The challenger, Oishi, is a true veteran of the sport who has competed in Pancrase since 2001. He has a 23-10-9 record and was last seen drawing with Takumi Nakayama at Pancrase 246. Oishi has also competed in Legend FC and defeated Rob Hill via TKO.
Another match up that seems to be taking place is a bantamweight battle between Bibiano Fernandes, who is one of the best bantamweights in the world, against Koetsu Okazaki. Fernandes (13-3) was last seen defeating Yoshiro Maeda at DREAM 18. His opponent, Okazaki has a 8-2-1 record and is currently an active competitor in Shooto Japan.
ONE FC: Rise to Power will take place on the 31st of May 2013 live from the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay, Philippines. Fans can also expect to see other Filipino MMA stars such as Eduard Folayang on the card as well.
