ONE Fighting Championship gets nominated for an award from the International Sports Event Management (ISEM)

ONE Fighting Championship announced earlier today that it has been nominated for The Most Innovative Event Award by the prestigious International Sports Event Management (ISEM). The ISEM Awards are the only international Awards to recognise excellence in the global sports event management industry. The awards, which has been ongoing for the past 6 years, honors sports event management industry leaders who have rose above the rest by putting up stellar major international sports events.

According to ONE FC, it is one of five global sports events that have been nominated for The Most Innovative Event Award.

The nominees for The Most Innovative Event Award are:
1. ONE Fighting Championship
2. Innsbruck Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee – Innsbruck Youth Olympic Games
3. Team London 2012 – London 2012
4. Fast Track – Sainsbury’s School Games 2012
5. HiVelocity – Sundown Marathon

ISEM is well known for giving out awards to companies that put out events of the highest standard of excellence. Awards were given out to companies which made a difference in events such as 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Sony Ericsson WTA Tour 2009 and ATP World Tour Finals 2009. Winners will be awarded at a prestigious Gala Dinner to be held on 7th November, 2012 at The Cumberland Hotel in London, UK.

While this is just a nomination and ONE FC has yet to win the award, it is still an honor to even be in the same league with the other events that are undoubtedly world class. ONE FC has changed the face of Asian MMA in just one year and this nomination is a recognition of the high level of excellence it has shown in its events. This is another feather in the cap of ONE FC and just another reason why it truly is the king of Asian MMA.
