ROAD FC 009 Results: Melvin Manhoef wins, Vuyisile Colossa kills it and Minowaman proves that those red shorts are still sexy

ROAD FC went down last night at the Wonju Chiak Gymnasium, South Korea. The event was a huge success by any means with a beautiful set up that was reminiscent of PRIDE FC. In usual ROAD FC fashion, the show was separated into 2 portions, ROAD FC Young Guns 5 which was also the under card of the event and ROAD FC 009 which featured the main card.

The ROAD FC Beatdown card saw Melvin “No Mercy” Manhoef face Kim Jae Yong in a very evenly contested main event match up. While the bout was close, it was apparent that Manhoef did have the upper hand in the stand up department, dropping some bombs on Kim. Kim on the other hand had the upper hand when the fight went to the ground. After 3 hard fought rounds, the bout went to the judges scorecard with Manhoef winning via split decision. Great fight that really had the crowd going.

Also on the card, Vuyisile Colossa made his triumphant return to the cage by completely annihilating Seok Mo Kim within the first round. Colossa’s crisp boxing was just way too much for Seok to handle and Colossa managed to land a hard one two combination that dropped the Korean. What followed was some nasty ground and pound that included a hard knee to the head that left the referee no choice but to stop the fight.

Minowaman made a successful debut as well by defeating Yuk Jin Su via Kimura in the first round. Minowaman, who was decked out in his signature red shorts (if you want to call it that) had no problems in controlling Yuk on the ground and snapping on the submission. Not only was Minowaman over like rover with the South Korean crowd, he proved that he’s still the only guy who can pull off shorts that small.
